Driving safe, the Nissan way

Nissan owners, take up the challenge to be a better, safer driver.

nissan_safety_1_editedAs part of the on-going 2015 National Safety Campaign undertaken by the official distributor of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia, Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) will once again be conducting the highly popular Nissan Safety Driving Experience for the benefit of its customers.

Scheduled to be held on 17th October 2015 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), the programme will once again see participants learn critical driving basics such as the correct seating posture and hand positions on the steering wheel, to more advanced car control manoeuvres such as emergency braking and lane change, skid control, as well as slaloming through cones in the ASEAN NCAP  5-star rated Nissan Teana.

As with so many professionally-conducted defensive driving courses, the Nissan Safety Driving Experience offers “everyday” drivers the opportunity to acquire driving insights from trained instructors on how to identify and react to potentially life-threatening situations on the road, which sadly has become a daily occurrence. To better safeguard your family’s well-being when travelling in a car, this is your chance to be the better, more knowledgeable driver.

Priced at RM100 per entry (for two persons), the Nissan Safety Driving Experience is a full-day programme (8.00am to 5.30pm) inclusive of food and beverages. To sign up, call (03 4047 8788) or e-mail ETCM’s Customer Relations Department, or visit Nissan Malaysia’s website.

On a safety-related note, if you happen to own a Nissan X-Trail (T30) manufactured between May 2002 and March 2007, a Nissan Teana (J31) manufactured in 2004 or a Nissan Liberty (M12) manufactured in 2003, do have your vehicle inspected as soon as possible at the nearest Nissan service centre to address a product issue related to the global recall of Takata airbags. Click here to check if your vehicle is affected.
