As if Land Rover needed to prove a point…but it did anyway in the recent Land Rover Off-Road Drive Experience held at Sepang. Be it the chic and fashionable Evoque sporting 20-inch alloys, or the sober and utilitarian Defender that looked as if it had just returned from a UN peace-keeping mission, Land Rover demonstrated that true off-road capabilities are inherent in every vehicle that rolls off its Solihull production line, just in case you woke up one morning and decided that your Range Rover Sport needed a mud bath.
Watch Vijay tackle a huge ditch filled with mud water in the Range Rover Vogue (3.0L V6 Supercharged). Test vehicle wore standard all-terrain tyres, with its Terrain Response system set for “Mud and Ruts”, and Hill Descent Control (HDC) switched on.
