Honda Jazz sees red

Ang Pows can come in various forms, how about a Honda Jazz?

jazz_red3Previously only available in rather sober shades, Honda Malaysia has seen fit to give its strong-selling hatchback a splash of vibrancy, just in time for the upcoming festive celebration. Like its three-box sibling, the City, which offers a maroon-like “Dark Ruby Red Pearl” option (preferred by 13% of all City buyers), the versatile Jazz too has its own shade of red; a scarlet hue known as Carnival Red. Choose this and you’ll no longer fail to spot the Jazz in sea of parked cars.

Honda Malaysia also took the opportunity to raise the appeal of the entry-level S variant by giving it the gloss black grille and chrome license plate garnish found on the mid-range E and top-spec V, along with power-adjustable door mirrors (yes, about time).

True to the announcement made in October last year, prices of Honda models have been officially revised upwards. So for 2016, you’ll have to pay close to 3%, or between RM2,000 to RM2,500 more for a Jazz; the S is now RM73,800, the E at RM81,000, while the V will set you back RM89,400. Those who held out on acquiring one last year are probably seeing a different shade of red.
